Delivery of advertising material

By e-mail, no later than 4 working days before the start of the insertion, separate statement of the link. If an ad arrives late or does not meet the technical specifications, Delius Klasing reserves the right to postpone the campaign by the number of days that the ad content arrived late in order to achieve the contractually agreed term or ad impressions.


billing basis 

For CPM campaigns, the figures from our ad server always serve as the basis for billing.



If sounds are used in an ad, they may only be activated by a user action (user click, mouse-over). The sound must also be able to be terminated.


Change of motif / several advertising media

Of course, we will exchange your banner motif during the campaign period. Delivery of several advertising media in one placement is also not a problem. 
Simply let us know the desired banner weighting (standard for two advertising media is 50:50).

TCF v2: redirect tags, tracking

All technical service providers (vendors) who want to use agencies and advertisers must be in the TCF v2.0 (Transparency and Consent Framework) of the IAB (see  be registered.  

As part of the TCF v2 framework, agencies and advertisers are obliged to observe the necessary framework conditions in the course of the consent query of cookies for the delivery of advertising material.
Correctly set GDPR macros are a basic requirement so that the consent information set by the user can also be passed on to third-party systems.

If you want tracking of your campaign or integrate a redirect tag, the necessary GDPR macro for the vendors used must be sent to us.

So that we can recognize and find this GDPR macro in the future, we need information from you as to how and where this GDPR macro is delivered in the redirect, in scripts, iframes and/or any other tracking.
All advertising tags/trackings to be used by us must contain these GDPR macros.

A notice:  Without this info we cannot ensure that campaigns can be published properly.

HTML5 Ads 

The following content is part of the most common HTML5 advertising material:  

  • HTML document, commonly called "index.html". 

  • Assets: images (e.g. JPG, PNG, GIF), videos (e.g. mp4), etc. 

  • CSS file 

  • javascript file  


HTML5 ZIP file

A ZIP file with the individual components must be delivered, which must comply with the following rules

  • Name the HTML element "index.html" (without the quotation marks). 

  • Place the index.html file in the main folder of the ZIP file (do not place it in a subfolder).  If you use subfolders, make sure that they are not compressed. 

  • Only use parts of the HTML5 ad and no orphaned assets. 

  • Keep the ZIP file as small as possible. 

  • Place the individual components (images, videos, etc.) in subfolders (e.g. images, videos, etc.).

Supported file formats for HTML5 advertising media
The most used formats for HTML5 videos are H.264/MP4 and VP8/WebM. Videos should be in these two formats  being transformed.

Please deliver the video as a physical file or a link to download. In addition to the video material, we need the advertising media and the desired target URL.

Digital Apps

  • Print/app combo: Your advertisement contained in the print issue is automatically transferred to the digital version.

  • AppOnly: We need a double page from you, divided into two single pages, analogous to our print specification

  • Attachments: Please send us your attachments as a PDF with a single-page view. If possible, the supplement should be in 
    Portrait format to ensure the best possible display. Only a single page view is possible in landscape format. Functionalities such as the slide or scrolling function are added by us accordingly.

With all types of integration, you have the option of supplying additional enrichment data. The additional content is always identified to the user with the help of icons.


Link activation : Max. 3 links. Please let us know how you want the links to be positioned and make sure that your link points to a landing page without Flash.

Pictures : JPG, max. 1 MB/picture, picture size: 2048 pixels wide or high, max. 10 pictures, number file names if picture order is desired.

Video : MP4 (H.264), max.  50 MB, resolution: 1024 pixels wide, height is calculated automatically based on the aspect ratio. Please deliver the video as a file or a link for download (YouTube links also possible)

Delivery date : The data must be available by the deadline for print material for the print magazine.  


Advertising media must be checked and made available in perfect condition. We need the data by e-mail, no later than 4 working days before the start of the placement, with a separate statement of the link.

File size : max. 150 KB per file

When booking, you will need a total of two sizes of advertising material:

  • 1536 × 600 pixels

  • 2048 × 600 pixels

Delivery date: 7 working days before shipment

Advertising material that is placed in the newsletter may only be delivered as an image file such as JPG, GIF or PNG, otherwise it cannot be displayed. If animations are desired, they must be implemented using an animated GIF. Unfortunately, not every e-mail program (e.g. Outlook) is capable of playing a GIF file, which is why it is advisable to display the important information on the first sequence or to use a static image.

Sponsored News Teaser

We need the following date from you to integrate the Sponsored news on our websites:


  • title: max. 60 characters incl. blank letters

  • teaser text: max. 280 characters incl. blank letters

Please note that the teasers are always marked with the word "advertisement".


  • quantity: 1 teaser image

  • file format: JPG, PNG

  • file size: max. 6 MB

  • resolution: 600 x 400 pixels

Delivery date

Please provide us with the data at least 7 working days before the send out date of the newsletter.

Native Ads/Sponsored News

We need the following date from you to integrate the Sponsored news on our websites:

  • teaser text: min. 100 and max. 200 characters incl. blank letters

  • article text: max. 750 characters incl. blank letters

Please note that the articles and teasers are always marked with the word "advertisement".


  • quantity: max. 2 (teaser image plus 1 image inside the article)

  • file format: JPG, PNG

  • file size: max. 6 MB per image

Delivery date

Please provide us with the data at least 7 working days before the start of the runtime. After creating the news, we will send you a link for viewing and approval.


Change of the teaser

A change of the article is possible once a week. You are welcome to send us all the information before the campaign begins.
